Our client, a well known insurance group, is looking for a Proofreader / Copy Editor to join their team on a freelance to full time basis.

***Please note, this role is currently remote, however you will eventually be required to work onsite in a hybrid model in 2022. You can choose the company's Manhattan (Hudson Yards), Stamford, CT or Bethlehem, PA offices. Proof of vaccination is required in order to be considered for this role.***

In this role, the Proofreader / Copy Editor will be responsible for editing proofreading all content produced by the enterprise creative and marketing team: brochures, decks, digital assets, promotional content, policy documents, etc. You'll ensure that content is accurate and has correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and aligns with brand voice. You'll also have the opportunity to make recommendations that align with editorial style.

Requirements for the Proofreader / Copy Editor include:

- Extensive proofreading and copy editing experience in regulated industries: insurance, professional services, finance, pharma, etc.
- Ability to review complex materials including all graphics, texts, multimedia, websites and charts with attention to detail
- Ability to understand brand voice and editorial style guides
- Proficiency with AP and/or Chicago Manual of Style and standard proofreading marks
- Strong project management skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
