Senior Content Manager - Freelance

Our client, a company that creates electric vehicle charging stations, is seeking an organized, creative and energetic Senior Content Manager with strong writing skills to support their team in a fast-paced environment.

**Please note: The company is currently in a hybrid work schedule but the ideal candidate will be able to commute to their office in Norwalk, CT 1 or 2 days per week. You will need to work off your own equipment!*

The Senior Content Manager will be responsible for:

- Developing B2B content strategy that aligns with marketing targets both long term and short term
- Strategically writing and publishing engaging content for target audience (Site Hosts and Resellers)
- Writing, editing? proofreading and improving upon web content, email content, SEO content, social content and marketing collateral content
- Ensuring brand consistency across all channels
- Optimizing content according to SEO; Using target keywords to write search-engine copy that is optimized for search engines (SEO) while remaining entertaining and informative
- Staying abreast of current best practices in the industry and review competitor websites to compare their content with those of your company
- Increasing web traffic across platforms by managing content distribution to online channels and social media
- Keeping marketing team on board with an editorial calendar
- Managing content using HubSpot
- Collaboratively designing and developing site content alongside marketing teams
- Remaining current on product developments and generate new ideas to draw attention of audience

The ideal Senior Content Manager must:

- Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Content Manager and Writer
- Previous consumer marketing experience is ideal
- Have a BS degree in Journalism? Marketing or relevant field
- Be comfortable working in SEO and web traffic metrics
- Be proficient in Hubspot and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Have comprehension of and familiarity with social media across all platforms with an emphasis on LinkedIn
- Be a self-starter who can take initiative in learning the business and products and developing content to educate our customers and prospects
- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Be extremely detail-oriented
- Be a time management and organizational expert
