Our client, a startup content creation studio with a focus on binge-able content is currently looking to hire a Video Editor to focus on Social Media, full time.

Please note, this opportunity is onsite in NYC to start out, in WeWork location. There is flexibility after time for this to become a hybrid remote/onsite opportunity.

Video Editor will join a team of about 10 to help , edit, manage and lead postproduction efforts on a series of existing and planned upcoming content with a target audience on GenZ (short form content on Tik Tok, Insta, Snapchat).

Video Editor, Social Media Responsibilities:
- Working on original video series made specifically for short-form platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat
- Manage the entirety of the creative video editing process until content is posted
- Not just assemble videos, but "punch up" and improve all aspects of content
- Work closely with producers throughout the edit process to make the best end product possible
- Help to define and create workflows for best postproduction processes
- Effectively manage production timelines to ensure projects are executed on time
- Own post-production process and be willing to jump in on other projects, roll sleeves up and have fun

Video Editor, Social Media Requirements:
- 2+ years of post production experience. Specifically for digital and social media with a passion for Tik Tok and short form video content
- Excellent After Effects and Premiere skills
- Ability to work in all and digital video formats including all variations of compression formats and their different uses in a production environment
- Has a strong sense of story and timing, color grading, music and audio mixing, and strong communication
- Strong project management and organizational experience
- Familiar with and on the pulse of TikTok and emerging video trends
- Ability to multitask and manage a variety of pipelines
- Strong sense of timing and is able to give constructive feedback to editors and filming teams
