Our client, one of the world?s leading collectibles and subscription companies that produces licensed magazines and collectibles for sci-fi, superhero and comic book clients, is seeking an Email Marketing Manager to join their team.

**Please note, this role is remote for the time being but will be returning to the office in a hybrid schedule in 2021. A laptop will be provided to you!**

The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

- Managing all aspects of the email channel including strategy development, email campaign planning, design, development, testing, deployment and reporting across both the subscription and e-commerce business units
- Owning email production from end to end: development, QA, deployment.
- Concepting and updating SMS marketing campaigns, Facebook messenger campaigns and onsite chatbot automated flows with the help of the in-house design team
- Leading planning, calendaring, timelines and prioritization for all promotional emails and SMS campaigns
- Creating and segmenting custom lists for email deployment using data from the Email Service Provider (ESP), the website, the database etc.
- Tracking and analyzing campaign metrics to produce ongoing analytical reports and ad-hoc reports
- Working closely with Global Head of CRM to manage and optimize automated emails including but not limited to abandoned cart, browse abandonment, back in stock, birthdays, anniversary, customer newsletters etc.
- Developing innovative ways of using site and backend data for new automated and triggered messaging in emails, SMS, chatbots and other platforms
- Concepting and developing lifecycle marketing programs to increase LTV.
- Utilizing email and SMS marketing more effectively to increase retention, reactivate canceled subscribers and engage lapsed customers
- Leveraging email and SMS marketing effectively to cross sell, upsell across categories, brands and communities
- Utilizing email and SMS marketing to grow programs such as refer-a-friend, customer reviews and drive other engagement initiatives
- Developing A/B testing to optimize results: subject line, visuals, CTAs, etc.
- Working closely with the Creative team on email development submissions and best practices
- Designing and executing to grow the email database through better email capture on site as well as through sweepstakes, contests, and partnerships
- Leveraging email best practices and findings to assist in email marketing and CRM strategy development, working cross-functionally across multiple channels and teams
- Supporting in managing and troubleshooting issues with feeds and integrations that send data back and forth between various entities and the ESP
- Communicating insights gleaned from quantitative and qualitative data to key partners
- Actively monitoring, analyzing and reporting on the business and marketplace / industry trends and creating charts, tables, etc. to showcase the data
- Manipulating and massaging email / marketing copy as needed

The ideal Email Marketing Manager must:

- Have a University Degree, preferably in a business-related field
- Have 2-4 years of experience developing lifecycle programs
- Have previous B2C or D2C experience
- Expert knowledge of an ESP such as Salesforce or Klaviyo, is highly preferred but open to experience with Mailchimp and / or Sendgrid
- Proficiency in Google Analytics is required
- Proficiency in HTML email design is crucial
- Be proficient with Excel and BI tools
- Basic knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDP) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus to work closely with internal designers
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana is a plus
- Have experience developing and executing A/B tests to continually improve performance & drive value
- Be analytics-focused, with experience translating data into business and consumer insights
- Have excellent organizational, project management, and written/verbal communication skills
- Have constant attention to detail to ensure content is clear, relevant and engaging
- Have cross-functional team experience and the ability to formulate and execute a strategy through consensus building, negotiation, and data-driven persuasion
- Display a positive attitude, professional manner and a willingness to be a team player and assist co-workers at all levels
- Be highly motivated, entrepreneurial and resourceful
- Be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to paint a vision/strategy, influence key stake holders and get cross-functional buy-in from partners
- Have experience wearing many hats and handling multiple projects at one time
- Interest in comics, science fiction, and ?geeky? pop culture a plus.
- Have a good sense of humor; work needs to be fun, after all!
