Our professional association client is looking for a Communications Director to join their team.

What you'll be doing in this Communications Director role:
- Leading member communications and government relations for a large professional association
- Developing and running communications plans including campaigns, events, web, email, newsletters & social media
- Reporting to the organization's Executive Director and working with senior leadership on a wide range of initiatives
- Hands-on with writing and other work to start, you'll also manage vendor relationships and help to define the role and hire for a direct report in 2022
- Travel within Ontario to oversee and attend membership events, conferences, AGMs, awards ceremonies and more

Qualifications for this Communications Director role:
- 10+ years of experience in Communications with experience setting and leading communications programs
- You have experience working for professional associations or in a similar member-based organization
- You have a strong ability to write communications, press releases and more, and don't mind rolling up your sleeves to do the day-to-day work when it's needed
- A proven ability to manage and deliver impactful campaigns that deliver on organization goals
- You have proven experience managing relationships up and down organizations including mentoring and supporting the growth of direct reports
