Event production company is seeking a Scenic Production Manager to join their rapidly growing team! This is a hybrid on-site role requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday-Thursday) in Hawthorne. To start it will be fully onsite during the two-month probation period.

Scenic Production Manager Duties:
Work on multiple events simultaneously
Attend regular meetings with the assigned Production Team to ensure all the scope of work is accurate
Populate pull list for assigned events in collaboration w/ Production Team to ensure accurate information
Direct line of communication between the production team and shop manager to ensure the latest updated info/needs for events/pull lists
Liaise with trucking to ensure event load-in, strike, pre/post-pick-up, deliveries are scheduled
Supervise trucks are loaded with all scenic, technical, and dcor needs as outlined on the pull list
Oversee all event items being purchased, built, painted, or wrapped
Source materials from specialty vendors
Coordinate with Shop Manager on crew productivity, ensuring projects are being executed on time and with accuracy
Oversee all event items being cleaned, wrapped, labeled, and loaded
Coordinate with Scenic Coordinator on crew needs, i.e. crew schedule, report crew work hours and oversee crew travel
Responsible for briefing the on-site crew for each event to ensure everyone is aware of all elements and a plan is in place for execution on-site

Requirements:
2+ years industry relevant experience
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be flexible, able to manage last-minute changes, and work well under pressure
Carpentry knowledge
Organized, self-starter, and team player
Proficient in Microsoft Office & on Mac
Ability to read and understand line plans & renderings
Ability & wiliness to work weekends and holidays
Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
Spanish is a plus!
