Leading travel company is seeking a SEM/SEO Director.

In this role, you will be responsible for all tasks involved in the development of SEM marketing programs. This role requires an analytical mindset and a relentless drive to optimize SEM campaigns for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate has both brand and direct response SEM experience and a solid understanding of customer acquisition tactics. You should be very familiar with metrics like CPA, CTR, and CLV.

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of Search activity and ensure delivery to a consistently high standard, cost effective and in line with business targets
Ideate, plan, execute, measure, and optimize Paid Search campaigns to meet and exceed objectives
Lead a team of professional optimizing SEM/SEO while working with Analytics teams for cross-channel measurement and attribution
Assume top level responsibility for budgets including monthly forecasting of spend and ensuring that PPC accounts remain profitable to the business
Continuous optimization of bid strategies and A/B testing of headline, copy, extensions, placement, and landing pages to maximize conversion rates
Report on campaigns results through Google Analytics, Omniture & other tools
Evaluate and test new search vendors, tools & platforms
Recruit, mentor and help lead junior staff members
Collaborate across channels to determine the most effective role of search campaigns
Enforce quality assurance checklists and adherence to brand guidelines (legal, privacy, content, etc.)
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners
Stay current with industry trends and best practices. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Job Requirements:
4-6 years of experience managing multi-million-dollar campaigns across Google, Bing & Yahoo with a strong grasp of optimization practices, and retargeting.
Command of reporting through various platforms including Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.
Deep expertise of bid management tools (SA360, Marin, Kenshoo, or similar)
Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations that help reach business goals
Understanding of how other Digital Media Channels (Paid Social, Display, GDN, DMPs, etc.) contribute to campaign success
Excellent writing and communication skills
Previous experience in marketing for travel services is a plus
