A retail company is looking for a Senior UI / UX Designer to join their team. This is an ONSITE, full-time opportunity in Katy, TX.

The ideal Senior UI / UX Designer will be part of the company's AGILE product team and must be able to work cross functionally with other departments to build competencies in UI / UX and creative designs.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in UX / UI Design
- Portfolio of work (showing process)
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing eCommerce UI/UX, mobile and iPad apps and responsive web
- Expert-level Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions.
- Retail or hospitality experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Adobe XD or Sketch, Creative Cloud, InVision, Figma or similar
- Working experience in building prototypes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

The Senior UI / UX Designer will be responsible for conducting various forms of user research and task analysis to identify opportunities to improve user experience for Academy digital products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate and resolve user experience issues through evaluation and various forms of testing
- Synthesize research findings into meaningful recommendations and actionable results.
Complete research, competitive analysis, user/stakeholder reviews, analytics and un-biased recommendations in a highly collaborative environment.
- Create UX research reports, process maps, low fidelity prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience
- Provide recommendations on Usability Testing approach.
- Manage all aspects of Usability testing
- Partner with Product Managers to include proven tests into live features for our customers.
- Drive visual design experience based upon user data, research, best practices and consumer needs for a given capability and persona(s).
- Drive the development and communication of user design process for a given initiative.
- Apply data research and team product expertise to create interactive designs that deliver relevant and engaging experiences for the users.
- Perform rapid prototyping to validate the business and customer goals, usability, and feasibility of a new product idea in collaboration with the product team.
- Validate design by participating in user testing and iterations or pivots based upon the user test results.
- Create engaging, usable, and effective designs that meet user centric goals.
- Design and oversee high fidelity prototype creation with interaction from other capabilities and teams.
