Our client in Alexandria, VA is looking for a Marketing + Communications Coordinator to join their team on a long term contract with possibility to extend. This position is 30-40 hours a week and remote.

Duties of the Marketing + Communications Coordinator:
- Assist with the development of creative briefs for copywriters, designers, and video editor contractors
- Review contractors work and make minor edits to for social media posts
- Schedule posts through Oktopost
- Write social media posts or captions as needed
- Cut short video clips the the video editor
- Research high profile topics to ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with the development of the content calendar to ensure notable event - topics are being presented in a timely manner
- Help project manage marketing and communication campaigns

Requirements of the Marketing + Communications Coordinator:
- Bachelors degree
- 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, social media
- Experience developing content calendars for social media or communication campaigns
- Passionate about current events, global issues, etc
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent project management skill
