Our social media giant client seeks a PR Communications Manager to join their team in this 8+ month freelance role!

In this role, the PR Communications Manager will leverage deep media relationships and communication abilities to shape policy announcements, while amplifying the positive impact of our global community.

The PR Communications Manager will be responsible for the following:
-Work cross-functionally with Corporate, Strategic Response, Executive and Policy teams to shape and manage proactive and -reactive communications related to company initiatives with consistently strong judgement and execution
-Build strong relationships and engage with broadcast reporters, producers, editors, anchors and thought leaders
-Monitor news coverage about the company and anticipate narrative shifts and misperceptions
-Strategize on how to position company announcements to earn coverage on broadcast
-Conduct background calls and prepare briefing materials, statements

The ideal PR Communications Manager should possess the following:
- 10+ years of experience in broadcast and/or print journalism
-Experience with guest booking, media relations, strategic communications and/or crisis communications
-Experience working for multiple news organizations
-Experience with multicultural journalists and outlets
-Basic understanding of global media landscape
