Social Media Specialist - WFH during Covid-19

Our professional association client in Washington, DC is looking for a Social Media Specialist to join their team on an ongoing contract. This position is 40 hours a week.

The ideal Social Media Specialist will have experience strategizing and optimizing organic, social, and paid media campaigns across various digital channels.

Duties of the Social Media Specialist:
- Produce and create engaging content to convey stories
- Develop social media content and marketing plans for specific channels
- Work with subject manager experts from across the organization to create content for social medial channels/platforms
- Create reports, analyze data, and provide insights on social media campaigns and organic traffic
- Maintain content calendar and schedule including loading posts with Hootsuite
- Assist in the execution the paid social media campaigns
- Write social media headlines and posts as needed
- Copy edit and proof graphics and video

Requirements of the Social Media Specialist:
- 3+ years of managing social media channels
- Experience as a social listener a plus
- Experience optimizing social campaigns
- Experience working with Google Ads Manager a plus
- Experience managing paid social campaigns preferred
- Graphic design or video editing skills a plus
