Our government contracting agency client is looking for a Sr. Social Media Manager to join their team on a temp to permanent contract. This position is 40 hours a week.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a Government Agency's communications and program office. You will have a passion for using social media communications to address issues around social equity, sustainable communities, and healthy living.
Duties of the Sr. Social Media Manager:
- Oversee and develop the content for multiple digital communication channels
- Develop communication strategies to reach multiple target audiences through social media, email and web
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on strategies regarding planning, messaging, promotion and dissemination of content
- Develop metrics regarding marketing and communication campaigns
- Create reports on various campaign analytics to show ROI and overall messaging impact on communities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhancing messaging and generate forward thinking ideas to increase target audience engagement
- Review and evaluate the work of team members to ensure all content meets brand standards
- Develop editorial content calendars for digital communications
Requirements of the Sr. Social Media Manager:
- 6+ years of digital communications and social media experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, etc
- Experience working with a Federal Government Agency's communications programs office
- Experience developing digital communication strategies
- Experience developing content calendars for digital and social communications
- Experience working with clients is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of public health issues
- Experience using Buffer, Hootsuite
