Our educational not for profit client in Washington, DC is looking for a Media Coordinator to join their team on an ongoing contract through the end of April. This position is 40 hours a week.

This is exciting opportunity to support a corporate communications teams on initiatives surrounding social media, earned media, etc

Duties of the Media Coordinator:
- Monitor news coverage for media references
- Assist with the development of media press kits, social media kits, brand kits
- Assist with the development and editing of content for various channels and platforms including press releases, talking points, blog posts
- Ensure all content meets brand standards and guidelines
- Assist with general tasks as assigned by the communications team

Requirements of the Media Coordinator:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, PR
- 1+ year of professional experience working in PR, Communications
- Knowledge of news media i.e. broadcast, print, digital
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of AP Stylebook
