Our education media services client in Washington, DC is looking for a Senior Marketing Automation Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive and execute the email marketing automation strategy for the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing strategy, managing databases, and executing campaigns through Marketo. Additionally, you will have experience managing team members.

Duties of the Senior Marketing Automation Manager:
- Manage the strategy and execution of email marketing campaigns across the organization
- Build and optimize automated email campaigns to grow marketable contacts/leads and increase email engagement
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the marketing database and systems are used to maximize efficiency
- Manage all marketing vendor contracts and operational expenses including automation platform, project management systems and consulting services
- Manage all email marketing IP addresses to monitor and maintain excellent email deliverability scores
- Oversee and manage regular database system checks including synchronizing Mareketo and other business systems to ensure accuracy, perform data cleanliness producers/oversee list management
- Manage and educate teams on email best practices and communicate email calendar schedules

Requirements of the Senior Marketing Automation Manager:
- 8+ years of market operations, database marketing, or email marketing experience preferably in a B2B organization
- At least 4 years of experience administering/managing a marketing automation platform - ideally Marketo
- At least 2 years in a supervisory position is required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business
- Demonstrated experience developing ROI oriented marketing campaigns
- Passion for developing and mentoring direct reports
