UX Research Strategist - WFH during Covid-19

Our professional services client in Washington, DC is looking for a UX Research Strategist to join their team on a 6 month contract with possible extension. This position is 40 hours a week.

The ideal UX Research Strategist will have extensive experience utilizing data to determine patterns and trends between historical and modern day scenarios.

Duties of the UX Research Strategist:
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customers experience by analyzing and utilizing data
- Uncover patterns between historical policies and modern day ones to determine trends and inequalities
- Journey map the target audiences buying experience
- Oversee and run user engagements including empathy interviews, ethnographic observations, workflow analysis and contextual inquiry of customers
- Create detailed journey maps and visualizations to create a holistic view of the ecosystem involving digital and other channels

Requirements of the UX Research Strategist::
- 4+ years of design research, service design experience
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, sociology, social sciences, anthropology
- Graduate Degree highly preferred
- Experience working on social impact work and research highly preferred
- Experience with service design, qualitative research, workshop facilitation techniques and methodologies
- Experience advocating for design principals based on user research data
