CX Research Strategist - WFH during Covid-19

Our financial services client in Washington, DC is looking for an experienced CX Research Strategist to join their team on a 6 month contract with possible extension.

This position will be focused on leading internal design maturity projects to develop and strengthen new and current design capabilities. Your expertise will help the team stand up a foresight practice and advance their research process.

Duties of the CX Research Strategist:
- Lead the strategy for developing the team's design capabilities and strategic foresight program
- Advise on ways to mature the current research process
- Lead project focused on developing and implementing research, design, strategic foresight techniques across multiple projects
- Oversee user research and advise on tactics including empathy interviews, ethnographic observations, workflow analysis, and contextual inquiries of customers
- Participate and advise on strategies for the full life-cycle design process including research, synthesis, prototyping, iterating, pilot programs
- Collaborate with designer to create detailed journey maps to establish a holistic view of the client's design environment
- Train team members of design research and strategic foresight principles and tools

Requirements of the CX Research Strategist:
- Bachelor's degree in design, social science, anthropology
- Graduate degree highly preferred in Design, Design Strategy, Human Centered Design, Psychology
- 7+ years of related experience
- Experience with strategic foresight/futures in the context of UX/CX required
- Experience with Service Design, Design Thinking and Qualitative Research Techniques
- Experience crafting a project vision, execution strategy and client relationships
