User Research Lead - WFH during Covid-19

Our Consulting client is currently seeking a User Research Lead to join their team.

This role will be remote during COVID, but this person will be expected to work onsite in their Atlanta office once it is safe to go back into the office.

This position starts May 1 ideally for the right person. This is a 1 year contract with the potential to convert to full time after 6 months. This is 40 hours per week, and the client will provide a laptop.

The User Research Lead will be responsible for:
- You will leverage an iterative, user-centered approach to conceive and deliver valuable new experiences across mobile and web platforms
- You advise product teams on to turn user generated insights into highly engaging and intuitive user experiences
- You will lead user research, including helping frame key questions, create research plans, conduct research, and synthesize findings into meaningful, actionable insights
- You will also create professional-level deliverables that clearly and persuasively communicate the UX strategy, findings, and reasoning behind it. These deliverables include research plans and protocols, research findings, personas, journey maps, workflows, and wireframes
- You will work with cross-functional global teams including product managers, designers and developers

The User Research Lead will have:
- BS or MS in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, HCI, Anthropology, Psychology, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience planning, conducting, and communicating the findings from user research for digital products and services (familiarity with an Enterprise setting is a plus)
- Experience planning and conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research at all stages of product development
- Ability to frame key questions, create research plans to address those, conduct research, and synthesize the findings into meaningful, actionable insights
- Ability to design and conduct user testing and concept validation
- Deep understanding of the digital product lifecycle; comfort working with designers, technical & business teams
- Deep knowledge of multiple research methodologies
- Solid knowledge / experience with Agile software development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and define tasks needed to bring clarity
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
