Our QSR client has an immediate need for a Sr. Pricipal Designer to provide Design expertise within the area of Drive-Thru (Guest Experience and Operations) initiatives.

This role requires a curious leader who is a self-starter and can inspire others.
Build and manage appropriate cross-functional teams and partners from across the business to ensure successful design solutions.

- Leads and communicates vision, strategy and execution of the drive-thru experience.
- Provides guidance on how the organizational initiatives related to drive-thru and site layouts can scale and will impact the design of New Restaurants, Existing Restaurants, and Rollouts.
- Leads the strategies of future restaurant designs and experiences focused on future drivers of change such as digital sales channels, future of autonomous vehicles, supply chain deliveries, etc.
- Leads the creation of design solutions that will alleviate pain points:
- Operational, through-put, capacity, speed
- Guests ease of navigation and hospitality
- Ensure innovation process includes various approvals/inputs from key stakeholder such as Operators, Field Operations, Marketing, Food Safety, IT, Risk Management and Restaurant Development teams.
- Lead the research strategy for gaining key insights from Operators, Team Members, Guests, and industry trends to identify future design projects.
- Lead drive-thru operational design through leveraging insights and analytics to ensure data driven design solutions.
- Consult across the business on expert knowledge of drive-thru design principals.
- Develop Drive-Thru innovation project plans including:
Project Teams - internal staff, consultants, agencies, and vendors
Estimate, track, and analyze budgets

Additional duties include:
- Overseeing and being accountable for Design Innovation consultants, contractors, and vendors. Specifically, responsible for building and managing outsourcing/agency strategy for various workstreams.
- Provide initiative report outs to executive leadership.
Identify a communication plan to keep key stakeholders informed.
- Develop processes and systems to ensure that innovation projects are aligned with corporate and departmental goals.
- Lead Operator and Team Member innovation sessions to vet new design solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
10 years of experience in design, operations, engineering, customer experience, product development, innovation management

This is a 40 hour a week, hybrid opportunity that requires travel to restaurant sites as needed.
