Our retail client is looking for a Content Marketing Writer to join their content marketing team and enrich their communications channels including but not limited to, website, store signage, social media, blogs, and email.

Reporting to the Content Marketing Manager, you will develop and pitch content and story ideas across multiple channels and disciplines.

The ideal Content Marketing Writer has experience in editorial writing, building brand awareness through content creation and distribution, and retail.

Responsibilities of the Content Writer:
- Identify customers needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Promote content on social media
- Update website content as needed
- Complete writing projects, meeting deadlines and following content requirements in terms of style and project specifications
- Revising content whenever customers or clients request changes
- Helping create style guides or suggesting changes to ensure content is consistent and clear
- Working with customers to define their content needs
- Conducting research on any given topic
- Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
- Writing clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Preparing well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems

Requirements for the Content Writer:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, journalism or relevant work experience
- 2-4 years in retail with an emphasis on content creation
- Must be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Final candidates will need to participate in a comprehensive writing assessment
- Experience in script-writing a plus
- Proven ability to interpret client needs and recommend content solutions
- Proven ability to work hand in hand with creative partners
- A strong understanding of website construction and content

This is a 40 hour a week, freelance to possible full-time role.
