Our design client located in Midtown is looking to add a Signage and Wayfinding Designer to their team on an ongoing freelance basis that could turn full time for the right fit!

Signage + Wayfinding Designer Responsibilities:

- Leading design and collaborating with fast-paced interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, illustrators, digital designers and more to deliver projects ranging from complex signage & wayfinding to digitally integrated experience centers.
- Demonstrate exceptional vision, oversee projects from conception to completion, and ensure successful project outcomes
- Client work will span a diverse range of markets including aviation, education, entertainment, hospitality, retail, sports, and workplace.

Signage and Wayfinding Designer Qualifications:

- Bachelor?s degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field
- 5+ years professional experience in environmental graphic design, print/digital design, or similar studio experience
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills that work well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation skills; writing skills a definite advantage
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Experience with planning, documentation and management of environmental graphic, wayfinding and signage projects in the context of the built environment
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and MS Office
- Familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations; proficiency in drawing in scale
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling programs a plus
- Working knowledge of motion graphics software, digital video editing, or other skills related to designing for and creating dynamic content a plus

The Signage and Wayfinding Designer is an ongoing freelance opportunity for 24-40 hours per week, depending on the workload. For the right candidate, hours can become more permanent with the potential to convert to full time.
