Interaction Designer - Philadelphia (Center City)

Our client, an award winning interactive full service agency, is looking for a freelance Interaction Designer to join their team for ongoing support on current and new projects.

This is a remote opportunity, 40 hours per week. There is potential for this role to become full-time. The ideal candidate will be located in the Greater Philadelphia area.

The Interaction Designer will be:
- Defining experience goals, interaction principles, use cases, and rationale for applying interaction modalities across hardware and software layers.
- Developing personas, journey maps, interaction models, user flows, task flows, interactive prototypes, visual designs, and UI specifications.
- Working with Director of Interaction Design and other designers to define the visual styles and elements of product UI, as well as the communication style of the overall experience.
- Leading clients through the problem definition and product design process, by planning and facilitating collaborative workshop sessions with clients and key stakeholders.
- Working with research team to conduct and observe user testing, and iteratively incorporate feedback to improve product design and user experience.
- Acting as a Technical Lead on client projects for the Interaction Design team, and mentor junior designers as needed.

The Interaction Designer will have:
- At least 3 years experience designing for mobile and consumer electronics UI and desktop software
- At least 2 years of experience working in a consulting environment
- Experience working with physical products as well as web and mobile designs
- Background in UX, human factors or IA would be preferred
- Understanding of responsive design
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma and Zeplin
