Technical Writer - WFH during Covid-19

Our financial client is looking for a Technical Writer to join their team for 6 months starting this month.

As the technical writer for the Enterprise API Platform Team you will work with the API Platform team and be responsible for:
- Creating technical, business and operational documentation for the Enterprise API Platform
- Document, in easy to understand terms:
o the technical steps to creating an API Specification using an OpenAPI specification template in The platform’s design hub.
o How to generate an API Stub from a specification using the API Platform’s Code Generation Utility.
o Details related to request/response handlers, what each of them is for and how to use them.
o How to build and deploy an API Stub with added business logic.
o How to perform functional, performance and operability testing on an API.
o How to automatically deploy an API to higher environments once testing has been successfully completed.
o How to search the API Marketplace.
o The certification process for deployment to the API Marketplace.
o The benefits of an Event Driven Architecture.
o How to incorporate the Enterprise Event Hub to realize maximum business benefit.
- Creating marketing material that explains the technical benefits of the Enterprise API Platform in “easy to understand” business terms while still highlighting the value of the platform.
- Developing a training program, training documentation and deliver training to business users and IT users that don’t have technical knowledge on API or the API Platform/Enterprise Event Hub
- Creating a User Guide and Support Guide for the API Platform and Enterprise Event Hub based on Kafka

Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years as a Technical Writer or similar role.
- Prior experience writing for the IT space explaining complex tech to non-technical readers.
