Account Executive - PR - WFH during Covid-19

Our PR client is looking for an Account Executive to join their team full time starting in July or August.

As the Account Executive you will service multiple accounts and begin to take ownership of program elements independently. Account Executives are given the opportunity to learn how to manage programs with limited supervision and to begin to supervise and delegate work to junior team members.

What you'll be doing as the Account Executive in this role:
- Supporting and assisting in the development, execution and reporting of multiple programs including media relations (earned and paid), influencer marketing, social/digital and event management
- Upgrading your knowledge of clients’ brands, competitors and categories.
- Understanding client’s business objectives and proactively suggesting tactics to meet those objectives.
- Observing plans and programs, asking good questions and offering ideas.
- Developing or supporting strategic, thoughtful wrap reports that are clearly written and demonstrate the agency’s successes as well as key learnings.
- Arranging shipments and pickups etc for the team as needed.
- Developing relationships with key vendors/suppliers and negotiating terms and pricing with professionalism and with your client’s best interests in mind.
- Participating in internal and client meetings; leading meetings as required - taking notes.
- Communicating continuously with manager and account team to keep them apprised of activities and deadline status.
- Providing support on day-to-day client communications.
- Executing media relations (earned and paid) activities include: generating fresh, creative on-brand ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts.
- Building and nurturing relationships with key media relevant to your brands/clients.
- Writing media materials to gradually hone your media writing
skills; working with manager to edit.
- Pitching media with confidence to regularly secure media
placements; ensuring media lists are comprehensive and strategic.
- Following a variety of influencers who have relevance to your brands/accounts and observe content trends.
- Building relationships with relevant influencers; vetting for safety and security for brands.
- Negotiating influencer contracts with professionalism.
- Reviewing influencer copy/postings and advise your manager of any concerns or ideas.
- Securing influencer data for reporting purposes.
- Staying current with latest trends in digital communication.
- Monitoring social media conversations to extract relevant insights.
- Composing content calendars and executing them.
- Managing online communities, developing key playbooks and Q&A and responding to consumers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Tracking social media results and preparing campaign and/or monthly reports tracking progress against key KPIs.
- Helping to plan events (live, and remote) – venue, logistics,
décor, speaker support, etc.
- Researching venues, conducting site visits and making recommendations.
- Developing and managing the event critical path.
- Drafting invitation copy and other collateral materials, including Run of Show; Drafting speeches/remarks.
- Attending events to manage on-site logistics and guests.

Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years experience as an Account Coordinator at an agency.
- Have strong oral, written and communication skills.
- Have a customer-focused mindset
- Detail oriented with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
- Solid presentation and negotiation skills.
- You take initiative and are able to work autonomously.
- Understand the importance of deadlines.
- Problems solver and look to offer potential solutions.
