Our client, an eco-friendly makeup brand with a strong focus on the millennial market, is seeking a freelance Social Content Creator / Video Editor with strong photo editing skills to support their team on an ongoing basis!

**Please note, this role will be a hybrid schedule, the ideal candidate will be able to commute to the client's office 3 days per week. You will need to work off of your own equipment!**

The Social Content Creator / Video Editor will be responsible for:

- Acting as the primary editor for video and photo content for the client's social media channels
- Assisting in production of video + photo content and asset creation for all owned social media channels
- Understanding specific brand art direction including lighting, direction and composition
- Building and breaking down of lighting set-ups and managing equipment organization
- Producing eye-catching Instagram story content blending video, photo, new effects, etc., ensuring constantly increasing engagement and VTR
- Editing mostly short form (:30-2:00 min) videos covering a range of content
- Creating platform-specific content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) as part of monthly / year-long content calendars
- Collaborating with the Director of Social Media and Analytics, Director of Operations & Creative Services on brand building content that drives acquisition & engagement across channels
- Managing multiple, concurrent projects and maintaining schedules to meet deadlines
- Growing the client's social media channels
- Moderating user-generated content and developing social conversations in partnerships with Community Managers and social media team members

The ideal Social Content Creator / Video Editor must:

- Have at least 2 years of content creation experience at beauty / fashion brand or creative agency
- Have a college degree
- Have a portfolio that showcases a clean, bold, elevated, trend-forward and thoughtful design aesthetic
- Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Have working knowledge of portrait and product photography, video editing, graphic design, animation graphics, and color correction
- Have previous video camera operating expertise with DSLR cameras and iPhone, etc. including separate audio recording experience
- Be able to troubleshoot technical issues such as video file formats, digital memory storage, etc.
- Have proven experience creating & producing digital social media content
- Have a strong understanding of social media, trending topics & most importantly, beauty
- Have a strong work ethic with exceptional project management & organizational skills
- Be able to multitask and prioritize work efficiently and effectively
- Be collaborative, team oriented but also capable of working independently
- Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to work in a very fast paced environment and meet very tight deadlines
