Our client, a global financial services company, is looking to hire a Broadcast Communications Coordinator, who has a knowledge of and passion for the financial markets, for a 12 month freelance role, hybrid remote and onsite in NYC.

The Broadcast Communications Coordinator will report to the Head of Broadcast Communications and join the in-house audio and video broadcast studio team that is currently focused on daily On-Air podcast programming video production that is produced and recorded from their flagship broadcast center in NYC.

A working knowledge of the global financial markets, economics and public policy that will be applied to the internal and external-facing audio programming with which the Coordinator produces is key.

Broadcast Communications Coordinator Responsibilities
• Support Senior Communications Manager and provide solutions for audio broadcast studio needs as they arise
• Liaise with internal (including Investment Bank and Asset Management) and external partners to coordinate and schedule audio content (both live broadcasts and pre-recordings)
• Host and produce daily audio programs (including public-facing podcasts), that involve research (analysts, strategists, and economists), product and sales desk specialists, external portfolio managers and thought-leadership partners
• Assist with writing of scripts, interview questions and general talking points
• Produce and catalog monthly programming metrics
• Create and distribute daily schedule of programming
• Create and distribute daily market update communication

Broadcast Communications Coordinator Qualifications
• Three years of related experience in financial markets, operations and/or audio broadcasting
• Knowledge of the global financial markets, economics, and public policy, along with the wealth management industry
• Must have excellent broadcast / public speaking demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude, and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A desire to learn new technologies, processes and/or procedures as they are implemented
• Strong situational awareness along with verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partner firms
• Experience building schedules and managing deliverables
• Ability to handle a workload that could at times include early mornings
• Experience with Adobe Audition is a plus

Qualified Broadcast Communications Coordinators should have strong production/technical qualifications in addition to the ‘markets’ experience/working knowledge that is necessary for this role.
