Our client, a CPG company, is looking to hire a en Email Marketing Specialist, full-time or freelance to full-time, onsite 3 days a week at their office in New Jersey in Somerset County. The team is onsite 2 days a week currently but once the office is fully opened again everyone will be there 3 days a week.

If freelance to full-time it will be 40 hours per week while freelancing for 6 months and then a conversion to full-time.

B2B experience is not required but qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in an email intensive role, using a major ESP or marketing automation platform.

The Email Marketing Specialist will oversee the development and growth of email marketing programs with a focus on B2B email marketing and will be responsible for creating, testing, scheduling & reporting on emails and lead nurture campaign initiatives.

Your most recent experience must be in an email-intensive role, for at least the past 3 years.

The role is a mix of email marketing campaign duties (50% or more of the time), testing and reporting on the campaigns (25% of the time), digital content development (15% of the time, through third-party email services, such as Responsys, Eloqua, and Constant Contact) and the remaining 10% is focused on educating business units and leadership on best practices, industry trends, benchmarks, and the competitive landscape – ensuring adoption across the organization.

Email Marketing Specialist Requirements
• A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate email marketing, overseeing the development of B2C and/or B2B programs, including cross-functional work and hands on experience with email execution and campaign management through marketing automation platforms and/or email service providers
• At least 1 year front-end development experience through WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) Editors with basic knowledge of HTML/CSS working in a large corporate environment
• Knowledge of working in an email service provider platform, working with email, managing campaigns, content, & designs
• Knowledge of HTML email coding, rendering, bugs and workarounds (they have developers on the team)
• Knowledge of troubleshooting cross-browser/mobile compatibility issues
• Knowledge of e-campaign best practices which include HTML responsive coding, formatting, tracking, A/B testing, and reporting
• Experience with responsive design, automation emails and testing/validation skills
• Understanding of the nature of API’s and data integrations between platforms
