User Researcher - WFH during Covid-19

Starts Late June, interviewing early June

Our client, a global financial services company, is looking for a confident User Researcher who is a strong presenter to join their team freelance for 3 months to start and likely converting to full-time or extending and then converting; remote with some onsite days eventually at their office in Hudson County (easily commutable by public transportation).

The User Researcher will work on a combination of new and existing applications that are internal facing. The users are bankers, call center folks, operations folks, etc.

User Researcher Details:
• Join the team onsite sometimes but mostly work remote; a laptop will be provided
• Work alongside the other 8 full-time researchers in the group
• The research team meets once a week as a group and present to each other at the end of each month
• Collaborate w/ a team of ~25 designers via weekly meetings
• Collaboration w/ product partners; the hiring managers will help facilitate those meetings
• Must be able to clearly and confidently present their findings and conduct research w/out using leading questions
• A background in Quant is helpful
• The work they do is a bit esoteric so financial services experience isn’t required, just the ability to pick it up quickly
• Ideally candidates have at least 3 years of research experience but the hiring manager is open to articulate recent grads
• A Bachelor's degree is required

The User Researcher will develop research strategies that deliver actionable insights using qualitative and quantitative research methods to improve and innovate desktop and mobile user experiences. They will also scope and craft research plans, conduct research sessions, and present study findings to business stakeholders.
