Our client is a medical education focused Communication Agency. They are currently seeking to bring on a Medical Proofreader/Copyeditor for full time work.

The Medical Proofreader/Copyeditor will be:
-Copyediting and proofreading a wide variety of content including, but not limited to, executive summaries, complete slide kits, patient materials, bios, and meeting materials such as ticket and welcome letters, onsites, and posters.
-Proofing materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization mistakes while ensuring the content flows in a readable, correct manner. This will be done both on and off screen.
-Query for sense
-Conducting different levels of proof –readback, cold proof, copy edit, check cx, reference verification, slugs and final read
-Will do fact checking, reference verification, etc.

The Medical Proofreader/Copyeditor must:
-Know how to style pieces according to the client’s expectations or journal requirements (AMA)
-Must be ok working within a PDF (annotating and editing on screen) and PowerPoint on a computer, not just hard copy work (Word and Acrobat are a must!)
-MUST know AMA
-MUST have at least a few years experience working on medical materials and medical communications ( approx. 5 years)

This is onsite full-time (40hr/wk) with some weeks going over 40hrs. Client is looking for position to begin soon (within the next few weeks)
