Our global entertainment client has an immediate need for a 2D Concept Artist. This is a direct hire role based at the headquarters office in Houston, Texas. Competitive compensation package and relocation offered for the right candidate.
Working closely with the creative team, you will be transforming ideas into 2D visuals to inspire the 3D Concept artists. The ideal candidate is a highly creative dreamer that combines a unique sense of artistic vision and personality in every design.
5-7 years of experience
•Able to work within an established brand style
•Strong traditional and digital art skills
•A strong understanding of figure proportions, clothing design, architecture, environment painting and illustration
•Skill in composition, lighting, color, silhouette and detail
•Excellent communication and team skills, able to take feedback and give constructive criticism
•Self-motivation with a strong work ethic
•Able to work in fast-moving, deadline-driven environment in both prototype and production capacities
•Experience with Adobe Photoshop. 3D software knowledge is a plus but not a requirement
•Avid gamer, passionate about making games
•At least 3 years of work experience in a concept art position on at least 1 shipped AAA game title
•Must have a portfolio of samples that show your creativity and understanding of concept design
•BFA or equivalent preferred
